Using MailYouLike v3, I discover every day more and more bugs making it totally unreliable to use.If you would expect only one thing to work properly from a mail application, what would it be? Well, of course to be able to send and get emails but MailYouLike v3 doesn't guarantee that all the emails you send will reach the recipient and doesn't guarantee that you will receive all the emails being send to you.In only 10 days of testing on my own, here are the many situations where you won't be able to send or get emails:

  • From MailYouLike v3 users to MailYouLike v3 users under the same domain:

    • In every situations, the recipient will NEVER get the email and neither the sender, the recipient or the admin will be informed

  • From another email application to a MailYouLike v3 user:

    • If send under the formats:

      • To: FirstName LastName <usernname@domain.com>:

        • The recipient will NEVER get the email and neither the sender, the recipient or the admin will be informed (corrected after I informed them by patch 1)

      • Cc: FirstName LastName <usernname@domain.com>:

        • The recipient will NEVER get the email and neither the sender, the recipient or the admin will be informed (corrected after I informed them by patch 1)

      • Bcc: FirstName LastName <username@domain.com> (like most mailing lists):

        • The recipient will NEVER get the email and neither the sender, the recipient or the admin will be informed (NOT corrected after I informed them)

      • Bcc: username@domain.com (like most mailing lists)

        • The recipient will NEVER get the email and neither the sender, the recipient or the admin will be informed (NOT corrected after I informed them)

  • From MailYouLike v3 to another email application:
The ONLY situation where you can be sure to receive your emails is if the sender write the email as To: username@domain.com, make sure to let everybody know about it, don't subscribe to any  mailing list and be ready to lose many emails without knowing it!!!In addition to these critical cases, MailYouLike v3 has many bugs or behavior issues:

  • the way emails addressed to none existing user is handle
  • the way the To link is programmed
  • the way to add pictures in your emails
  • the way attachments are being handle
  • the way inactive accounts are handle
  • many, many, many spelling mistakes
As well, MailYouLike will NOT provide you any trial version and once you bought it, you will NOT get any refund even though this version is NOT ready to be used as a commercial product.If these are all the bugs I sadly faced after using this application for 10 days only, it is clear that this application wasn't tested properly and this forum with it's "Improvements and suggestions" section is nothing else but an easy way for MailYouLike to have a free team of Beta testers who have to spend $100 to have the privilege to discover bugs after bugs after bugs.I strongly advice all of you to WAIT until a tested and reliable version of MailYouLike comes or else you will waste your money, time and energy.Oh yeah, after emailing them several times about the urgent need to provide a patch and a refund, here is the answer I got (I love the "in few weeks" part for critical issues, meanwhile keep loosing your emails...):

    In next Patch which I am working on admin's will have  an option to redirect non - existence user email to some email address  like that Mailyoulike will Behave like a true Catch all account !

    Can you please Explain What do you mean by This ?

  • the way to add pictures in your emails
    You Can Simply copy paste Images in the html editor ( if they reside on internet )  Plus if you have any images in your profile you can paste  those  also  if you have a suggestions please explain it  

  • the way attachments are being handle
    You can Upload  all kind of files except exe's as they most probably contains a virus but that can also be removed  on your request  -

  • the way inactive accounts are handle
    Mailyoulike does not Handel Inactive Accounts , in next few Patches Admin's will have a option  to delete inactive accounts  after xxx number of days  

  • many, many, many spelling mistakes
    Well  English is not my mother tongue  by I have tired to correct all spelling mistake and also keeping this in mind i have added language system so any user can change  text   and if they find any spelling mistake they can correct it from admin area them self , the language system give admin's more flexibility to add text strings and change text strings - if you do not under stand how to do that you are welcome to ask by email or by using this forum  we will be happy to help you 

    also we have online demo of the application  I stress  that  before purchase  you must try the demo  the release version of the product works the same way as the demo works

    Hello Mr Pidoux


    you sent me an e-mail regarding mail you like all, I can say is that you are completely out of order If you have a problem with the application it would be worth trying to resolve it amicably rather than using slander and trying to ruin someone else’s business. If you can do better then do so!! But this business has been running for a while and with the testimonials that are on his site I reckon that 99% OF HIS CUSTOMERS ARE HAPPY!  You should always read the small print when ever purchasing a product it is standard practice when buying over the internet. If you don’t then you are purchasing something at your own risk. Without knowing the circumstances all I can say is bite the bullet mate and learn from your mistakes 99 % of people have bought stuff over the internet only to find out it is not what they thought it would be or not as good as they expected. I would suggest that you remove all the slander you have splattered over the Internet regarding this product as you might find your self in more trouble then its worth (just a friendly caution)


     


    As for your web site I don't understand why you would want this application anyway you have nothing of interest to anyone at the moment on your FAMILY SITE apart from blowing your own trumpet about being accepted into collage obviously you are still young and have a lot to learn regarding moral behavior.
