Mail server information InValid
Go back to correct it ! .

i do not use the Default SMTP server with IIS - simply because it stinks....

I am running Mail Enable as my E-mail hosting program

mail enable simply requires a domain name - and not a smtp pop or mail prior to the domain name .  every time i attempt to configure this  - its giving me a error -  mail server information invalid. im sure the catchall is active. but its not working.

well i figured out my problem

your current setup does NOT support IIS 6.0...

the donts mail system doesnt even exist in version 6.0 leaving this whole thing not able to send mail.... only get.

i did NOT purchase a supported licence - and i hear the new release of this program will address my problem with iis 6.0 -

i feel i should not have to buy the next version if the first one i paid for cannot do the job you TOLD me it would do. basicly i paid 50$ to get my e-mail ?!?!?! i could have done that for free with outlook!

BTW - first problem was caused by not adding www  infront of my webbased e-mail server.... doh

Hi !
Mailyoulike Using CDONTS to send mails , windows xp does not have cdonts , it is replaced by cdosys.dll . Please follow the steps below to use cdonts with mailyoulike  .

1 - Downlaod the cdonts.dll file from here  [ http://mailyoulike.com/dll/cdonts.dll ]
2 - Copy this downloaded file  into system32 directory
3 - Click Start then RUN and type    regsvr32 cdonts.dll

Thats it now you can use cdonts.dll with iis6 and mailyoulike will send email .

The next version will be free for supported clients  as you have purchased unsupported version so you will have to pay for the next version

Let me know if you have any other question

Thanks

Its not that Simple.....

Infact before you even mentioned that i DID add CDONTS to my WINDOWS SERVER 2003.

IT FAILED - badly

Microsoft VBScript runtime error '800a0046'

Permission denied: 'CreateObject'

/myl/functions/functions.asp, line 667

Having Said that .... Will the Next Version Support 3rd Party Mail Rather then Windows SMTP ?

and how do i know it will work?  what if i buy the next Version and pay another 50$ and it still doesn't work, then im out $100? i  just paid 50$ for your Software you told me would work because you said all i need was , and i QUOTE !

"

  • ASP.NET installed
  • Write primission allowed on folder
  • Catch all account on your mail server [ ? ]

    "

    I have ASP.net

    I have Write permissions..

    and i have a catch all e-mail

BUT IT DOESNT WORK  - ..

now you want me to pay another 50$ and take a chance that this new version will fix all the problems i am having? after i JUST payed for the damn thing 1 day ago - this new version will be released 4 days after my purchase date....

im willing to pay the extra 25$ to get this thing to work if you think you can do that .

He has a point about the requirements, it does not say that IIS is required to use this. I don't use IIS for my email either, being able to enter an ip for an external mail server would be the only way it would work for me.
