MailYouLike is a really nice application programmed in a very smart way.

Basically, you will have to create a "catch-all" email account on your server and an email send to "marc@myserver.com" will be saved in a database under the username "marc@myserver.com" so that when this user will login, the proper emails will be retrieved from the database.

However, if an email is addressed to a none existing user, MailYouLike will DELETE this email without informing or redirecting this email to the admin, making you loosing the whole original sense of the "catch-all" email account.

And since there is no option to automatically forward incoming emails to another account, you end-up with no other solution but to sign yourself with all the generic usernames you need for your website ("sales", "support", "desk", "info", "president" etc...) and to log into all these accounts every day one by one.

Other than this, the application is great but I am still testing it.

SPAM sender often try to send mail buy just trying out options like

webmaster@yourdomain.com
info@yourdomain.com
joe@yourdomain.com

and so on.

A catch-all account chatches all these mails because the server is configured to catch all. So if mailyoulike wont delete this mails they would stay in the inbox of the catch-all mail account.

If you would not delete these mails they can add up and I think would make it hard for mailyoulike to work fast. Because the application would have to go through all the mails every time.

So if you have a mail account john.doe@yourdomain.com and someone sends a  mail to kurt,huelsensack@yourdomain.com  I figure nobody needs to know of it.

For me the deletion of these mails makes sence.

But since to make MailYouLike working you need to turn on the catch-all option on your mail server, at least your mail server offers you the option to do it or not, while MailYouLike just don't.

So, to make everybody happy, a nice little check box option in the admin interface to keep this option on like your mail server or to disable it will make everybody happy, so we can all choose the best for us!

Hi !

mark your are correct but still i will allow the admins to have a option to redirect the non- exsistance   email to spcefic account and also  have a option to delete it  . this way mailyoulike will be more flexable
