Hi Suhail, Im having a few problems with my install and I think it is related to CDOSYS not being installed on my webhosts servers. I can only see support for CDOSYS in the preference of mailyoulike but wondered if it could be possible for support for ASPemail or CDONTS etc. I remember the older version of myl had support for CDONTS. I have got myl up and running and receiving emails great, I just can't send any out, I've got the correct address in for the mail server too, so im guessing that my hosts do not use CDOSYS. Can you help me?? Cheers

Hi !
CDOSYS is installed by default on win2000 server and win2003 server
and with .net installed cdosys is also installed
the problem may not be with cdosys it may be with smtp mail server
please ask your host what mail server you should use in order to send emails
in most cases it is mail.yourdomain.com but now many host does not allow that due to security and spam issues

Hi Suhail, I've been trying to work with my web hosts to get my problem sorted. I think it is down to the hosts not allowing mail to be relayed through the mail server using cdosys. They have told me to try to use aspemail as they fully support this.. So is there any chance that mailyoulike can support aspemail to send out emails??? Many thanks

Hi !
Just ask your Host how can you send out email using asp.net
Mailyoulike does not use CDOSYS directly SMTP namespaces use cdosys by default !
So if asp.net can send out email then mailyoulike can also !
But if your host does not support that either let us know we will modify mailyoulike to work with aspemail

Your issue is not with cdonts when we try to send email from mailyoulike to some other remote server like yahoo or hotmail your mail server smtp.ehotbid.com throw a message 553 sorry, that domain isn't in my list of allowed rcpthosts (#5.7.1) you need to ask your host to fix that as your mail server is not accepting email coming form your domain but before you do that make sure the catch all account added to mailyoulike is a valid catch all account you must be 100 % sure before you contact your web host !
