Hi Suhail,

Not sure if this has already been done in 3.1 or not but I noticed when registering as a new user the exsiting email address field is not mandatory. However mailyoulike emails this address with the confirmation details to activate the account. If no email has been entered the account cannot be activated. Also what if the new user does not already have an existing email account, how would they complete their registration?

Also is ait possible to enter the confirmation info into the database directly, I know their is a field called confirm1 where it seems to store the confirmation code but how is the coded generated in the first place. The reason also for me asking is because I am trying to migrate my existing users from the old install of the previous mailyolike to the new one, I have migrated all the data regarding the user accounts ie reg, folders, messages but the old reg table did not have a confirm1 field so Im unable to transfer the confirmation code. I thought maybe I could just enter in the code into the database but im a bit unsure or what to put in???

Any help greatly appreciated as usual.

Cheers and keep up the good work

Anthony

Hi !

In v3.1  you can enable or disable Alternative email field
Just login  as @admin@  and go to preferences  from there you enable or disable When you have disabled that then user who do not have alternative email address  do not need to do any thing  there account will be active as soon as they submit the registration form

First disabled the alternative email   from admin panel by going to preferences and then enter  1  in confirm1 filed for all users in that table

Let me know if you have any more questions

Thanks
